I thought it was a banger and mash until I saw the second picture

That’s a sad looking turd but I bet it was good. I love the outback special for some reason.

It was cooked decently at least. Hopefully the blooming onion was great!

Went to outback about 6 months ago. Was very disappointed and my food didn’t even look this good. It was steak that was supposed to be served with a chimmichuri. It was oil with 3 parsley leaves. Asked for another and received the same bowl of weird oil with like a hint of a leaf. Like how as a server could you just put that in front of someone.

And they wonder why they’re losing market share and money.

I thought it was a burnt sausage

I worked at outback from 2009 until 2016. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the food and how almost everything was made in house daily. This includes the soups, salad dressings, mashed potatoes, the burgundy mushrooms…we even baked brownies daily for the desserts and toasted our own cinnamon pecans for the one salad. We had a prepper who would start at like 5am for this. During this time the company was bought out, or the original founders quit or something. I forget exactly. Literally like within the year that all happened our dressings and soups started coming in pre made, in big plastic bags. It was sad.

Its ok, that blooming onion in the corner will save the day.

  10. I saw the thumbnail and thought it was a pickle.

Did it taste alright? Chain places usually give dogshit looking steak but they taste alright because they douse them in butter in salt I think

Aside from an unappetizing shape, that looks like a pretty good steak

I hate that steaks now are 6oz not 8oz and worse weirdly cut.

Skip outback. Texas Roadhouse is much better and not expensive

Shaped like a boomerang for a more immersive Australian dining experience

One more scoop of potatoes and they could have bent you over with the whole package

Longhorn is the best chain steak restaurant.
